After some extensive thought Skilled Graphics has decided to alter our logo just a little. Some of you may have seen the flash butterfly on our main website. It was added several months ago for a very specific reason. Over the summer my 7 year old stepdaughters father passed away. This did quite a number on my her emotions as you can imagine. During the funeral my stepdaughter (Delaynee) was standing next to her aunt Vicky. As they listened to the service, an orange butterfly came flying out of the casket where her father lay. The orange butterfly caught Delaynee's eye. From that moment on, the butterfly became symbolic of her father's moving on. And every time Delaynee see's an orange butterfly, it gives her a chance to reflect on her father and the times they had.

Not long after the funeral we added the orange butterfly to our main website in memory of her father. Skilled Graphics is a family run business, and after some thought we have decided to alter our logo to permanently symbolize Delaynee's fathers memory. The butterfly is a beautiful creature that symbolizes life, change, and beauty. Its a great icon to represent graphic design as it symbolizes how something as awkward as a caterpillar, can transform into one of the earths most beautiful creatures.
