Skilled Graphics introduces the Top 10 tips for business success. If you are on top of the following things, you will succeed!
- 10. Plan ahead - Plan ahead for your businesses future. Prepare for slow times, be sure to have backups in place when things don't go the way you expect. Have a decent idea of what your business will do.
- 9. Establish a client base - know who your clients are. Make sure you have a usable, service or product that is in demand
- 8. Brand your business - Be certain to give your business an identity of its own. The right branding alone can determine how a potential customer views your business. The right branding will show that you are serious, and professional. It will also help customers remember who they are doing business with.
- 7. Communication - Be certain you have the ability to communicate with your customers. Whether it be through telephone, email, or one on one customer service. One of the biggest reason a customer would speak bad of a business, is after a bad customer service experience.
- 6. Print Materials - Even if its only your business cards, every little bit helps. You can offer brochures, fliers, postcards, each of these items are great for customer relations. It also is a great way to introduce your business.
- 5. Web presence - About 72% of Americans now use the internet, and the number is continually growing. Be sure to cater to these people by offering a website for your customers to purchase, communicate, and learn about your business.
- 4. Marketing - If you have the budget, Hire a PR (Public Relations) specialist, to help kick your business in gear with the community. If you don't have the budget every little bit helps, post an ad in the paper, pass out fliers.
- 3. Social Networking - Social Networking has become a large part of the business community. Create Facebook pages, and Twitter pages, to help share your business with the world.
- 2. Be Nice! - This kind of runs with communication, but its worth pointing out again. One of the best ways to get new business is by word of mouth. If your customers find you pleasant to work with, you will more than likely get referrals from them. Though the customer may not always be right, its wise to let them think that they are.
- 1. Be Positive! - You will have ups and downs. Just because you are down at the moment, it doesn't mean you're are done. My experience leads me to believe that when you are down, and it seems you could go no lower, there will be an elevator of success just around the corner. So Stay positive, Be patient, and SUCCEED!!
